2012 w/ 35k mi or 2014 w/ 8k mi? (Which is a better value)

Greetings! I'm looking to buy my first car soon. I've decided on the Honda CRV. There are 2 CRVs that I've found. But I'm not sure which is the better value. I could really use some insight.

1) 2012 CRV-LX w/ 35,000mi list price is $17,800

or

2) 2014 CRV-LX w/ 8,500mi list price is $22,000

So my question is- is it worth the extra $4,200 for the newer car with fewer miles?

    Are these FWD or AWD?

Prices for used Hondas are pretty crazy. For not much more money, you could buy new and get a car with nearly 0 miles on it.
