2015 Lexus RX 350 Prices Paid and Buying Experience

To research local dealer inventory and pricing, reviews, features, and specifications, see Edmunds 2015 Lexus RX 350 page.

I am looking at a 2015 RX350 AWD, MSRP 51,135. What is a reasonable price to pay? I was offered a discount of $4,500 off of a MSRP of 49,989 which is just minus the AWD otherwise equipped the same. Would that be a good offer?

Any and all ideas are appreciated. I do not have a trade in and I am not financing.

Try the Build and Price tool here and see what True Market Value is. Your goal is to meet or beat TMV (it sounds like your quote is under TMV, but I'm not sure exactly which model and options you are shopping).

You can also get some more quotes or a Price Promise certificate and see how those numbers compare to your current offer.

Congrats - was that an AWD base with options or an F Sport with options?

TMV is generally coming in around $2,000 below MSRP so it sounds like you did well.

Stever, sorry for the delay. It's an AWD model with Blind spot+cross traffic alert. The MSRP was $51304. ITs a base with options. The F-sport is way higher. RX is a hot selling car and not easy to get more than 5K off.

The other dealers were giving me about 4K off of the base($45K) car. I got about 6K off the MSRP. At some point, my wife wanted to leave the room as the bargaining was pretty hard nosed :) The dealer adds all sorts of fees on top of it. Anyway, the car drives great. I have a 2004 Highlander and its a huge promotion from it's driving quality.

I looked at the Highlander also. An equally equipped one would have cost close to $43K. Lexus is a way better deal.

Hope my buying experience helps others. Any question, please post it here and I will answer. I declined the GAP coverage, extended maintenance plan they were trying to sell me.
    Thanks

The feet make great bargaining chips.

    Thanks for the additional info!
