Miata vs Del Sol

Im buying either a mazda miata or honda del sol and want to get some opinions for whats better for tuning. I know they are both down on power, but i would try to pull a little more power out of each engine. also i know that the del sol would be cheaper and better aesthetically, but also the miata (which would immediately get a lsd, because i dont like open diffs) would be a much better drive and i wouldnt be a "honda boy".
any thoughts?

Miata hands down. Way better aftermarket support, still being made, and they offer an LSD even in older models. A Miata is an actual sports car, a del sol is a kind of quirky experiment.

I think Honda watched from the sidelines as Miatas flew off the lots in the early 90's and scratched their heads as to grab a chunk of the action. Hence, the Del Sol was born.

A Del Sol is basically a Civic without a back seat and a removable top. As far as being down on power, drive a Vtec Del Sol and you won't be saying that! Even the SI's are pretty peppy.

The are more civilized and practical then a Miata but after having owned two Miatas I have to agree with Mr. Shiftright. The Miatas are just a heck of a lot more fun.

The Del Sol was more of a "me too" experiment from 1993-1997. Still great cars but not an actual sports car like a Miata is.
