Buying 2001 Ford Explorer 4x4 XLS but it has 180,000 miles?

I'm looking for a car and found a 2001 Ford Explorer 4x4 XLS but it has 180,000. Is that too much? The only thing they say is wrong with it is that it needs a new timing chain.

    I would think that a timing chain would be a semi-major repair..
