Moon roof + heated seats
MSRP 42K
Negotiated Price : 38500
MF : .00129
7 MSDS : 3150
Drive down : 1100 ( frst months payment + acquisition + registration + doc fee)
Monthly payment ( including tax) 418

Is this a good deal ? if not.. on what factor should I negotiate ?

I would appreciate your comments on this deal .

    Here are the factors on drive off payments

    first month - 418 ( tax included)
    acq fee - 995
    doc fee - 499
    dmv - 185

    Are above mentined costs normal ? I understand that first month payment would vary but what about acq cost and doc fees ?

    one more thing i just found that ...Total CAP cost is - 39579. For some reason dealer has added 1079 as rolled drived off cost.... I donno what that means but this reduced my RESIDUAL from 27300 to 26300.

    Any thoughts ?

    Acquisition fee is marked up from the base fee of $795. This goes to the bank.. it's on every lease.
    Doc fee: Just profit... $499 is high, but might be typical for where you live..
    DMV: Those are government title/registration fees.. depends on where you live.

    You have $2100 in extra costs listed above... but, only $1100 due at signing... the excess has to go somewhere, which is why the CAP cost is higher than the selling price. If it doesn't add up, ask them to show you the calculations.

    Residual is always a set percentage of MSRP and won't change. If the MSRP of the vehicle is exactly $42000, then the 65% residual is $27,300.
