1997 shuts off - Suburban

my 1997 suburban shuts off when i move the gear shift from park too drive, test alt/ bat good

    You might start with a computer scan. The Idle Air Control Valve is one suspect, also the Torque Converter Lockup clutch. A scan is the first step in the diagnosis.
