What can be done to save the new headlight lens on the 2015 CX-9 from going yellow?

Some people recommend spraying on a clear coat but I'm not so keen on that as the surface of the lens doesn't offer a very good adhering surface, and besides clear coat can chip.

The yellowing is caused by UV rays so really the best bet is to use a wax with UV protection--but you'll have to keep re-applying it over time.

3M makes a great restoration kit should this ever happen to your lenses.

Thanks for the reply. I am going to try synthetic ICE paste with UV protection after each wash or so. I will let you all know how that works out..... probably in about 2-3 years.
