What is the real trade in value of my Honda?

I want to trade in my car to the Honda dealer but I don't know how much I should get?

Is the Kelley blue book "dealer trade in" value the proper indication of what I should get from the dealer?

The kbb dealer trade in says 12000 but the he dealer wants to give me 9500.
