I have a 2002 Elantra with 50,000 miles. I have had the check engine light go on three times recently. First, my mechanic said it was a hose Clamp and I needed oxygen sensors so he replaced both. The second time, he said I needed a new catalytic converter. Finally, he said it was something called the intake manifold gasket and he replaced that. Just this morning it came on again! Aside from getting a second opinion :) any suggestions for me out there? I'm already in for a lot of money here.

I have a second opinion. Find a new mechanic, not a parts replacer. Sure, solving a problem like this isn't always easy, but that's what a good technician trains for. Three strikes, he's out.
