Bought a new 2016 Elantra SE with the Popular package (rear camera, 16 inch wheels, bluetooth, steering wheel audio controls). MSRP was $20,330. Got the dealer down to $14,500 plus $562 freight plus taxes. OTD was under $16,500. How have others done on similarly equipped new Elantras?

They're selling 2016 Elantras cheap. 2016 is the last year before the 2017 re-design. They don't want to be holding many old 2016's when the 2017 comes out(altho I don't think any 2017 re-design can be as lovely as 2011-16 Elantra sedans). Got a manual under $13,000 & think I could've gotten them lower. The 2016 Elantra engine is the quietest of the whole series & the 2016 Venetian Red paint is better than earlier 2013 Venetian Red paint. Saw one online 2016 Elantra with Extra Value Package( with popular stuff & a sunroof) for ~$14,700. Find a dealer who wants to deal.

Where did you get this deal? I've only contacted one place in town so far, but for an automatic base they quoted $15,600.
