I have a 97 Legacy 2.5 gt with an automatic transmission going into limp mode.
I have been having trouble with the shift solenoid and the trans going into limp mode. I recently replaced the shift solenoid and I now have the same problem but just when the temp outside is above 90 F or when I sit in traffic or idle for more than 3 or 4 minutes. The same code p0758 comes back up. Does anyone have any ideas? I was thinking maybe the temp sensor?

My problem is the trans will shift 2nd 3rd but not 4th after the initial start up or restart. The trans then will not down shift from 3rd after this point. I changed the shift solenoid and the fluid and filter with no real change. I didn't notice the issue of heat before the change. I am starting to also suspect the tcm. Thank you for your help!5
