So my inputs are based on real experience. I agree that choice of car is subject to personal preference. I liked Acura, but my kids like BMW (as it has more show-off value
There are ways to estimate it. You can consider depreciation, amount charged by Acura per mile if you exceed their lease limit, amount paid by dealer if you go to them to sell your car. 20 cents is a very low number IMHO. You may argue that it should be 30 cents. Final value will depend on prices in your area.
If my kids want to influence my choice....they can make half the payment. Otherwise they take what they get. I guess I might think differently if I was in the market for a minivan though.

Good Luck.
Did you have a trade-in?
Selling price 2010 Acura TL Base: $ 30,000.00 (Wheel Locks and Splashguards were included)
Doc Fee 55$
Sales Tax 2475$ (CA 8.25%)
DMV 29$
Registration 319$
License 57$
Tire fee 8.75$
County fee 10$
SMOG fee 20$
Total OTD 32,976$
Whats a price I should shoot for? Thanks!
Further, you can go to trucar.com to see what TL's are actually selling for in your locale.
Let us know how that turns out.
RDX '011's are here, it would be interesting to see what they are doing there, however RDX is a hot selling car so it might not be comparable.
I am interested to see what happens after the new incentives arrive. I thought about waiting but then pulled the trigger because I saw inventories at relatively low levels at a few dealerships.

Good luck and let us know how the deal works out.
I just want to know how come they can get such a great price.
Other dealers charge high back end fees (like the ones seen when finishing the deal in the Finance Office) to make up margin dollars given up at the negotiation table.
Others have dealer installed options, extended warranty contracts, etc on their new cars, which carry very high margins, allowing the dealer to show a low purchase price.
And then some posts are "pie in the sky" regarding their deal.
But, I also agree that Edmunds TMV is on the high side. Again, try trucar.com to get an idea of what others are paying in your general area.
i ended up buying the base + tech for 33,400 10 days ago. i was quoted $3K higher for the awd.
