Equinox nightmare

In 2013 i purchased a certified. Preowned. 2010 equinox from shaheen chevy in lansing. After 2 years we had to have the balancing chain timing chain high pressure fuel pump and battery replaced. Along with a coolant reservoir due to poor repair the first time. Than we stated burning oil and was adding 2 or 3 quarts per oil change. The final straw was when the sunroof started leaking and the liftgate stopped functioning. Disappointed we took a loss and got into a 2013 certified Preowned equinox after hearing it was just the 10s with issues. As i write this it is at shaheen chevy in lasting fir the 4th time in 6 weeks for a service engine light related to fuel pressure the cant figure out. Oh on top of the oil cinsumption testing because at 2000 miles there was no oil on dipstick. Being loyal to gm to a fault i asked the dealership to buy it back 0 the old lian and id buy something else. Of course an equinix is what they suggest. After a week i called the general manager to see what the figured out and was told gm wants no part in it so i have to carry a loss. Shaheen cant fix it but its apparently not their problem.

Your state might have lemon laws for used cars. Check on that.

    Michigan's Lemon Laws

I would not lie down for this one.

A lemon lawyer may be able to help, even where a lemon law doesn't apply. There may be some consumer protection help with the AG's office or other agency, but I don't remember anything special about Michigan's consumer protections when I lived there.

Only thing i see is it refering to new cars. But defines a new car as being under manuf warranty. At 23k miles its still under original warranty. It might be enough of a technicallity to get attention.

Search for buzz words like failure of warranty or implied warranty of fitness (this is where a cheap or free consultation with a lemon lawyer could help).

Or try this route, even though you are under warranty: The Secret Warranty

It still has 12k on original warranty and an extra 12k on the cpo warranty so no out of pocket yet. But fuel system isny covered under powertrain so dont have the 100k to fall back on. They replaced the fuel sensor and gm tech wanted the fuel control mod. They still havent figured it out.
