T&C Touring with MyGig, Dual screen DVD Ent, Family Value Group & Red paint—MSRP $31,545. What do u think is the best price I can get it for?

I wanted all EXCEPT dual TV's (we're retirees, don't need TV in a car), but it's the only one I found with the Pebble brown interior that I definitely want.

Need some guidance regarding best purchase price.

    Thanx

Shouldn't you be driving a nice Sebring convertible :) . For that specs, I would say $28 - $29K out the door (T&T included) would be a fair price.
  • macusermacuser Member Posts: 23
    1. I don't like convertibles...never did.

    2. I have a Lab/Golden Retriever about 75-80 pounds, who travels w/us.

    3. YOU MUST BE KIDDING ABOUT $28-29K! That just about takes into consideration the rebates from Chrysler...nothing else. I see many comments w/good prices: Rebates, dealer discounts, EC, and F&F discounts.

    4. Question is: DO YOU THINK $24-25K IS AN UNREASONABLE OFFER????

PLEASE RESPOND WITH YOUR KNOWLEDGE. THANK YOU!

The latest pricing with that configuration shows $31,995 MSRP. There is up to a $3,000 rebate, depending on where you live. With the rebate and a Friends discount you would be paying around $26,542. Remember, that's with the higher MSRP starting price.

Even if you don't have a Friends discount several buyers have said that they were able to get the dealer to match the Friends price by simply asking. It's a buyer's market right now on minivans. Ask to see the invoice and look for the PP (Preferred Pricing) code on the sheet. That's the Friends discount price.

THANK YOU! I'll give that a try. :-)

Wow, I see that the cash back allowance for the T&C and the Dodge GC has gone DOWN in my region from $2500 (which is what it was back in June when we got our GC) to $2000.

I didn't really expect it to go up, but I thought it would have stayed the same, not go down!!!
  • tedebeartedebear Member Posts: 832
My region had a $3,000 rebate in July. I just looked again and it is now totally gone for August. There is something about 5.9% financing in its place.
  • sadim91sadim91 Member Posts: 4
In my area, the rebate went up to $4,000 and 5.9% APR for 60 Months. Im in Chicago. I don't know whats going on in your areas. :confuse: :confuse:
  • rmbalisarmbalisa Member Posts: 129
Well as you know, CF no longer is leasing, so its focus is more on retail purchases. At the CF website, you probably see offer #1 ($2k bonus cash) and offer #2 ($2k bonus cash and special APR). I believe these can be combined. Therefore, $4000 coupled with 5.9% for 60 months is the deal going on right now. There was a communication sent out saying up to 24% off of T&C's for this month, so an offer like that makes sense.
  • dlseekdlseek Member Posts: 22
I can confirm that some dealers do indeed have two rebates.

Here in Pittsburgh, we just got a Touring/Signature and got the $2500 rebate, plus another $2000 rebate (related to the financing), with 3.9% for 60 months.
  • tiger3ptiger3p Member Posts: 30
Could have use an extra $2K but nevertheless, we are happy w/ the van :)
  • pats26pats26 Member Posts: 6
Well I finally took possession of my T&C Signature series with swivel and inferno red with the 25L package.

I was glad I waited until August. I am in Indiana and I got a $5000 rebate with 3.9% for 60 months.

    MSRP- $33,220 (price before increase)
    Invoice-$30,981
    rebate- $5,000
    holdback- $972
    sales price $25,009

Drove home and loved it. I never thought I would say that about a minivan(1st one). I will be taking it soon on a 2000 mile trip so I am looking forward to seeing how it does.

    Congrats on the purchase!

Over several months I had several phone conversations with a salesman on a 2008 T&C Touring. This afternoon a manager called me and after conversation, he quoted a price close to what I was hoping for, and I said I'd think about coming up (in price) if he'd think about going down a little, and call before closing today...so that I could plan on going to get the car tomorrow (Fri)...it's almost 200 miles away.

I called about 6:35 pm today (Thurs) and the salesman said the Manager had left, and that he made a mistake in the price. I was so disappointed I didn't even get the whole amt, but it's in the neighborhood of $1400 more than what was quoted to me earlier. Do I have any recourse?
  • pats26pats26 Member Posts: 6
I don't think you have any recourse unless it is drawn up on a contract.
What was the price you were quoted?
    What was the MSRP?
Where are you located? I live in north/central Indiana and I had a very good experience at a local dealer who gave me a great rate on a 2008 sig series and I would be happy to refer him to anyone who wants to make a trip out to see him.
  • tiger3ptiger3p Member Posts: 30
Did you drive down for the car? To me, it's just hearsay unless there's a viable proof (contract or email w/ the breakdown of the price). I know I did the same thing when I bought the van. I told the salesman, you have until 5:30 pm to make me an offer that I like or don't call me back. He called back @ 5 and said "OK, we'll give the car for the price you want." Granted, when I came in, it was 2 cents more! The salesman said he'd give me the 2 cents..

Yesterday I took delivery of Town and Country Touring with mygig.

    MSRP- ~$30,220 (price before increase)
    Invoice- ~$26,000
Rebate- $5,750 (Lease loyalty, $2000 rebate, $2000 rebate for financing, Employee discount)
    + Tax and Fee
    Sale price $22,300

So far this minivan seems nice, drove 50 miles, MPG shows 18.
  • macusermacuser Member Posts: 23
Thanx so much, but I'm in SW Virginia. The car I'm interested in is in NC, about 200 miles away.

Maybe I'll just wait for the 2009s to come out. Might have a better selection near home, or else be able to order exactly what I want.
  • royaljiggynessroyaljiggyness Member Posts: 4
How is the invoice price roughly 14% below the MSRP price. I thought typically around the invoice price is abou 7% below MSRP.

Is this the employee price they mentioned to you. I would appreciate a break down.

Right now I am in the market to buy a T&C and the quotes I received yesterday were for a T&C Signature Series.

    MSRP = $32,725
    Invoice = $30,477
    CDI Price = $29,483
    Plus Tax = $31,251
    Minus Rebates = $5,000 ($3,000 CC & $2,000 CF)
    Out the Door = $26,251

This does not seem to line up with what I see on the chat rooms? Can somebody help understand if this is right or where did I go wrong?

    Thanks!
  • tiger3ptiger3p Member Posts: 30
wow.. for that price, I'd be dancing... I got screwed on my deal then...
  • chuckflarhuchuckflarhu Member Posts: 18
Looking at a deal today on a T&C Signature Value

    MSRP 32,500
    Cash allowance 2,500
    Bonus Cash 2000
    Dealer Loyalty 500
    Internet Posted Dealer Discount 4196

    Price before Negotiation 23,304$

This seems so good to me that there has to be something wrong. Maybe it is a demo, but it doesn't say. If it is real, should I even try to get lower? Most of the normal tactics won't work since it seems to be WAY below invoice already.
  • tiger3ptiger3p Member Posts: 30
Usually, the dealer's internet posted site already takes into account the discount. At least that was my experience when I went to one dealer. They're price were lower and I came in thinking I would get the van w/ their posted price minus the cash rebate of $2.5K at the time. It turned out, they've already added the cash rebate to their posted site. I thought that was rather lame.
  • chuckflarhuchuckflarhu Member Posts: 18
It is taking all discounts into account.

The posted internet price is 23,804$ and I got a coupon for 500$ dealer loyalty.
I have no problem paying the 23,304, but I'd always like to pay less if possible.
  • tiger3ptiger3p Member Posts: 30
I misread the post.. that's a great price. I wish I paid that amount.
  • chuckflarhuchuckflarhu Member Posts: 18
Well you got yours a bit back in time right? From cars, to electronics, to homes, there's no use going back later and comparing your price to current pricing. If you felt like you got a good/fair deal at the time, then why worry?

It could go the other way on you as well. I figure my 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee was worth 18000 in a trade just 3 months ago, now I think I would be lucky to be offered 11000. Shoot me.
  • chuckflarhuchuckflarhu Member Posts: 18
wow, what a bunch of knobs. They gave me the old "we made a mistake on the price, ita actually 25,804.

So they were trying to tell me there was only a 196$ discount on a demo with 4400 miles.

    Needless to say, I left.

anyone here really thinking about buying a t&c by the end of september? i can get one person employee pricing which is 5% below invoice. i can probably get more but need to get co-workers to give me their code.
  • msonmson Member Posts: 1
I would really appreciate it if you can get me your co-worker's code. I'm looking to buy within the next couple of weeks as we have another baby on the way. If possible, please email code to michaelsmp at aol.com. Thanks in advance for your help!
  • jamie1209jamie1209 Member Posts: 2
If you are able to obtain an additional code, I would appreciate it very much, as we do intend to buy before the end of Sept. If you are able to get the code, please email it to me at: wolfjamesm@gmail.com. Thanks.
  • jamie1209jamie1209 Member Posts: 2
I just posted and requested the code, but my email address did not come through--my email is wolfjamesm at gmail dot com. Thanks again.
  • macusermacuser Member Posts: 23
I would very much appreciate getting the employee discount! I'm trying to get the dealer to come down a little more in price before I drive 196 miles to get the T&C that I've been negotiating for a few months...and it's still there. I just hope I don't miss it.

Same thing happened to me: After negotiating w/salesman on the telephone, the manager called me up and gave me a price of $16,110 with my 2005 Dodge GC trade-in. Next day the salesman says the mgr made a mistake and the price is $17,259 "out the door." ( w/financing to get addtl $2000 rebate). MSRP $31,545.

Maybe the Employee discount would do it for me, don't know, but THANK YOU VERY, VERY MUCH!!

Oh, oh! Just read that we cannot post personal info. How can I get the certificate?
    Try this: it's @ yahoo - mkilarji

IF I get your certificate, I'd like to go down to NC tomorrow morning to get this vehicle, before it's too late! THANK YOU, AGAIN!
  • chuckflarhuchuckflarhu Member Posts: 18
Got a quote that I am going to try to buy tomorrow.

    What do y'all think?
    Signature Value
    msrp 34.295
    Cash allow 2500
    bonus cash 2000
    dealer discount 3692

    price quoted 26,103
    This is pretty good right?
  • macusermacuser Member Posts: 23
I'm not "shopping" for the Signature Series (only because I want the Pebble Brown interior, not available in Signature) but $8,192 savings (from MSRP) sounds like a really good price.
    Good Luck!
Let us know how u make out.
  • macusermacuser Member Posts: 23
If anyone can provide me with the Employee Pricing certificate (or number), whatever, I would be most grateful!! PLEASE, just let me know what I have to do on my end to receive it. Any idea as to time frame to get one?

    I will purchase a T&C touring as soon as I get a EC #.

    THANX!
  • chuckflarhuchuckflarhu Member Posts: 18
    I got mine today.

    Signature Value Edition
    MSRP 34,295$
    Paid 26,103$

As I told the salesman, the experience was "almost enjoyable."

Ya know, I only got this to have room for my family, but the van seems to be growing on me.

I was reading in the manual about a "UCI" or Universal Consumer Interface. I don't thing mine has it. It allows you to control and charge and Ipod with the radio. Anyone know what models this does come with? It is on page 294 fo my manual.

Perfectly happy with the aux input for Ipod, but that UCI looks cool.
  • tedebeartedebear Member Posts: 832

I believe it is a Mopar accessory that you can purchase. You can get it through the Mopar website.

Here's a link that tells more about it: iPod Interface
  • chuckflarhuchuckflarhu Member Posts: 18
Thanks. I saw that I could buy the cable.

I am trying to see if my T&C even has the connection for it. There seems to be a mind boggling array of differences in the Radio/VES/Nav/Uconnect for different T&Cs.

    RER/RER.REU etc.

I am pretty sure mine doesn't, as the dealership made no mention, and it is not on the sticker.

Maybe is is only for limited models.
  • macusermacuser Member Posts: 23
    Congratulaltions! and Good Luck!!

did $26,103 include tax and whatever else?

what is tax rate where u are?

    Hello,
On August 4th I bought a Dodge Grand Caravan SXT 25K, black, with the options:

    Dual Screen DVD Entertainment System
    Power Liftgate

for $23,450.00 out the door. I also bought the lifetime bumper to bumper warranty with a $100 deductible for an additional $1,600.00 and financing for 5 yrs at 4.9%. I am not a current Chrysler owner or an employee. I bought it at Szott in Highland, Michigan. My salesperson was very courteous.

Thanks. I saw that I could buy the cable.

The iPod Interface is a whole lot more than just a cable. The module plugs into the rear of your MyGIG and an included cable with an iPod plug-in port is installed in your glove box (or wherever else you want it).

Click on the PDF installation guide and you'll see everything the $113 kit comes with. The kit description says it is for use on RES, REQ, REN & RER radios. Item # 82210848AB.
  • chuckflarhuchuckflarhu Member Posts: 18
Ahh thank you. That was the info I needed.
The t&C manual was not entirely clear.

Hmm, imagine labor on that would be quite a bit. I'll probably stick with what I have for now.
  • tiger3ptiger3p Member Posts: 30
Has anyone installed the Window Rain guard on their 08 T&C Touring Package? Just wondering how easy is it to install and how much do they cost.
  • macusermacuser Member Posts: 23
Anyone have any thoughts on what may happen w/REBATES in September? The dealer I spoke to said Chrysler now does changes every TWO months instead of every month, and no changes due in September.

Seems w/ new ones coming out there would be more incentive to buy the '08s.
  • richardmayorichardmayo Member Posts: 26
Check out the incentive page on chrysler.com Print out one of the offers, and the fine print reads that the current incentives expire 9/2.

Who knows if they'll be better or worse (my gut says better), but there are new ones coming in September.

Friday I finally drove 200 miles and traded in my 2005 GC SXT for the Inferno Red (w/Pebble Brown interior) T&C Touring. Couldn't get the dlr to come down another penny, but happy I got what I went for. I liked my Dodge GC, but I love this T&C (red color w/beige) and especially the MyGig, with the backup camera! :)

HOWEVER...Any one notice a grinding noise when you shift to reverse or passing reverse (after travelling 200 miles)? This is wider than my GC and I backed it up to line it up a little better to get into the garage and noticed this funny noise. Seems like it has something to do with the backup camera??
  • chuckflarhuchuckflarhu Member Posts: 18
what price range did you end up at?

I will listen for any strange noises in reverse.
  • macusermacuser Member Posts: 23
MSRP $31,545 and it was $25,759, less $8,500 on the trade-in; tax included $17,259 "out the door" (w/Chrysler's financing to get additional $2K Rebate).

It's a Touring, not the Signature Series. Just came back from visiting my dtr 150 miles away (300 RT) and handles very well. I love it! Like the MyGig, too! MPG on the trip computer was just under 25. I did much better mileage on the 2005 Grand Caravan, but hope this gets better after a few more miles.

It looks like some people on this msg board got better deals, but this was the only Inferno Red w/beige interior, MyGig and the Premium Console pkg from Florida to NY where my brother lives. Afraid to wait until Sept to see if Chrysler gave more Rebate, and once I went down there, I'm sure he figured I'd not leave w/o it. I also have the 2 Video screens...hope I get my grandchildren in there once in a while to say we use it.

I was playing with it on Saturday, and finally did get it to play 2 different DVDs on the 2 screens. I brought 2 DVDs w/me so that the salesman could show me how to work things and he said that was not possible.

I would like the UConnect, but it is too expensive, and I do have Bluetooth on my cell phone and Garmin GPS. Only it would be nice if the radio turned off when either the GPS "talks", or the phone is in use.

I've been sending around emails for quotes on a Touring Edition T&C.

    MSRP $32,500
Price (including incentives) $26,000 + tax and tags

I'm in southeastern PA, and our incentives are $4500 if you do financing through them.

    What do you think?
  • rmbalisarmbalisa Member Posts: 129
    lizanneh,

what options are you including to get your $32500? Ever consider the Signature series? Seems to be a better value model...
  • michaelsmpmichaelsmp Member Posts: 1
I think you may be able to do better especially if you reach out to NJ dealers. I live in PA but bought from a NJ dealer.

My T&C Touring Signature Series: MSRP $32,500

Price: $24,750 + Tax, tags and $250 Doc fees.

None of the PA dealers could match this price. Also when I compared MSRP prices for 2 identical T&C, one in PA and the other is NJ, the one from PA was $500 more for some strange. The only downside from buying from a NJ dealer is the distance and you have to get the car inspected yourself.
