Hello, I have a lease that is coming due on my 2013 Audi A6 Prestige. Since this was my first Audi, can any of you veterans give me an idea of what kind of maintenance costs I'd be looking at over the next 4 years. I've had Audi Care up until this point and I'm trying to get an idea if I want to buy my car at the end of my lease or return it. My car has 37500 miles on it now and I have 3 months to go. Thanks for your help

Short answer - expensive, I should think.

Longer answer - once you're out of warranty, you might be better served if you find a reputable independent shop that focuses on Audi. I'd call around and get some pricing to help you make your decision.

The Edmunds Car Maintenance Guide will give you some idea for scheduled maintenance. The 35,000 service was a pretty "big" one for example, but you may not have seen the bottom line when it was done under Audi Care. Most of the recommended services per the manual are reasonable.

The True Cost to Own tool suggests that repairs in years four and five will run you ~$1,600 a year, in addition to the scheduled maintenance costs.

Great suggestion to find an indy mechanic and get their feedback - would even pay to have a "pre-purchase" inspection done in another month or so as your decision time nears.
