01 Montero Sport 2WD...oddbird or future classic?

Saw an 01 montero sport 2WD with less than 100K on the odometer...would you folks consider a vehicle of this size and weight in 2WD? Not planning on offroading, just daily driving. I have a very short commute so MPG is not my number one factor either. I really appreciate the knowledge shared by you guys (and gals!) Thanks in advance

    Where do you live? In the snow belt, that car would be sale proof.
