Buying a New Patriot
Hey Everyone,
I am going to be buying my first car in the next couple of weeks and wanted to get advice about negotiating and pricing. I'll be buying a 2016 Patriot. Here is the current deal that I have, without any negotiation:
Total MSRP: $25,855
Rebate: -$2,000
Chrysler Cash: -$500
Dealer Discount: -$1,089
----------------------------
Final Price: $22,276
I know that the number I should go off of is the Dealership Invoice Price. How would I use this to my advantage in this situation? This seems like a decent deal to me (I do live in the Midwest and prices are not as expensive as other parts of the country).
What types of final price should I look to pay for this car?
Any advice is greatly appreciated,
Patrick

There's not much variance between invoice and MSRP on Patriots. Around $700. TMV is running close to invoice. That TMV number ($25,899 before incentives) includes the destination of $995 btw.
So, when you go to my link, TMV winds up at $23,389 with that $2,500 in incentives taken off the top.
The extra ~$1,000 the dealer is taking off makes the deal look good.
That said, with the invoice number not being "real" I'm sure the dealer is getting other bonus money from FCA - who knows how much more though. May as well ask for some more off or focus on an out the door price that zaps any doc fees. Those fees are usually too high. Another $500 may be doable and it's always a good idea to shop around for some email quotes.
I can't find the forum for leasing questions for the Jeep 2016 Patriot Latitude so I'm posting here. Can you provide the money factor and residual for a 39/12K lease in the New York area. I would also like to see all incentives/rebates that might be available.
thanks
