No start, battery seemed drained, charged batt but nothing when attempt start, heat guage and tach seem "stuck" half way with key in ignition and jiggled instrument cluster lights flash with each jiggle, when tried to start nothing most times, a few attempts did get a click from under hood but no turn over.any help please, I believe it to be the ignition switch, not sure why heat and tach would seem "stuck" half way though.

Well the switch has more than one position, and the contact to send current to the starter solenoid might be bad. Can you test to see if current goes to the starter solenoid when you turn the key to 'start'? If you get a reading at the solenoid when you do that, then your switch is ok.

also double check that your battery cables are super-clean and tight.

Now, also keep in mind that if your battery is no good, it will not accept a charge no matter how long you leave it on the charger.
