Maintenance Question

Bought this car with 78,000 miles several years ago and now at around 122,000. It has always had a brief engine hesitation when one lets up on the accelerator and then immediately pushed accelerator down again at around 25-38 miles per hour. Anyone experienced that and what is the likely cause?

It is a great car, smooth ride with MPG high of 30 MPG to 24-25 normal in city/highway in steep hills. Steady 26-27 MPG at 55-60 MPH.

Are you sure it's not downshifting when this happens?

Doesn't appear to be the case. That has never happened with a LS that I had nor for my GS-460 2006.

It gives a temporary jerk when it occurs.
