Should I Get Extended Warranty and Acura Care?

I am about to sign a deal on 16 RDX advance , deciding if I want to get extended warranty with Acura care or not . Plan on keeping the car for 10 years .

Is it worth the money to get extended warranty for tires or skip it. Also any idea how much is the maintenance cost over the years to maintain this ..

On an Acura, an extended warranty may not be necessary, but if you get piece of mind from having it, try to negotiate on the price.

Not sure about a tire warranty, however ... probably a good money maker for the dealer.

Use the TCO information here at Edmunds to get a sense of the maintenance costs.

Read the fine print on the tire warranty especially. Some warranties require alignments every six months or they overcharge you for rotations that must be done at the dealer. And even if it's just a road hazard warranty, they will prorate the miles on the tires when they do need replacing and you don't wind up saving any money.

This is always a tough question. If you buy the extended warranty and never use it you'll feel you threw that money away. If, on the other hand one bad thing happens you'll be so happy you have that warranty in place.

Honda products are very reliable but all cars are so complicated these days. At least with a Honda product the price of the extended warranties aren't that expensive. Price one for a European car and you'll pass out. These are expensive for good reason!

I plan to finance RDX-2019. Should I take acura care; any knowledge share (advantage / disadvantage) would be highly appreciated.
Also, plan to keep car for 7-8 years (approx).

Note - I had bought an Honda care plan 3.5 years back with my Honda accord. Knock on wood; nothing went bad to use it and I am already 70K miles on it.

Acura Care is ---- what? Extended warranty, or pre-paid maintenance program?

If the former, I think your Honda experience gives you your answer - you had it, and didn't use it.
