Use a thicker oil like 10W-40

Either leaking or burning. The laws of physics say so.

It's your engine oil seal making way.Time to do some top overhaul. Do check with the mechanic

Today I read a GM bulletin that said a possible cause of oil burning is the PCV valve an it should be replaced with a later model such as 2003 without the check ball, several owners said this cured their problem,I ordered one today, will post when I get results,Paul

120k miles and a quart every 500. Doesn't sound like a crisis to me.

The dark green wire between the relay and the horns.
