Transmission shifts from od to 3rd and back to od every 20 seconds.
99 dakota 5.2 ltr 4x4, 44re auto trans. the truck shifts fine between all gears. when it shifts to o/d it will shift back into 3rd and then back into o/d and back into 3rd repeatedly. the tranny temp light will go on and off following the shifting.
i have replaced the tranny temp senssor/ overdrive seloniod, as they are one assembly with the wiring exiting the top of the case on this tranny. last year i also replaced the shift selonoid and the governor pressure selonoid. i have also replaced the engine temp sensor. any ideas on how to correct this shifting issue?
