Why Doesn't Anyone Make an Electric Car with a manual transmission?

It's not such a weird idea. I actually drove one years ago (converted Ford Escort) and rather liked it.

    Everything is drive by wire in Electric car.

    True but that's only one way to do it. What if you wanted a simpler car without AWD electric motors? Or to build an EV on an existing platform?

    Then you will have to custom built it. Who will buy it if is a assembly line car ?
