84 Montero S headlights

Hey guys, would love some help figuring out my headlights. They work sometimes, but not often, I've checked some connections under the hood and the fuses but nothing seemed to work. I think it may be some connection under the hood in the switch itself but I don't want to pull the dash apart (as I live in Alaska and it is winter) unless o have to.

Possibly the headlight relay. You should hear an audible "click" if it's working. A relay is just a heavy duty switch.
