Everyone:

Hello. I own a 2007 Chevrolet Cobalt. I bought it used and it did not come with a tire jack. I have credit at a local salvage yard and they sell tire jacks. They do not know which jacks belong to a particular make and model of car. Will any jack work with my Cobalt? How can I tell if a jack is a GM jack? I want a jack with my car in case I need to change a tire on the road.

This VIDEO shows you what your jack should look like and how to use it.

    Here's a PHOTO of it

Check to see where your jacking points are under the car. It's possible that any scissor jack would work, although the correct factory one usually fits into a slot for a safer grip.
