Also saw the 2011 Acura TSX wagon in blue in a parking lot. About the same size as the previous gen Outback/Legacy wagon. Black leather. Nice to see a new wagon hitting the market.

I'm sorry... not too many angles available for this car to look good... and, I'm a big Porsche fan.. It looks pretty good from straight-on (like, behind you in your rearview mirror)... Otherwise (and I hate to say it), you might as well get a Cayenne...

That's Ford country, because I swear, I must drive by a dozen Ford dealers on that 3 hour trip. No kidding.
Also saw a Q5 this morning. Sharp looking, like a blazer in navy.
Still, the way I would configure it (SEL hatch, DSG, moonroof but cloth seats w/o un warmers), the sticker is $19,500ish. Probably not a whole lot of discounting at this point, so say 19K purchase price.
You can get a lotta used car for 19K if you look around.

Stuck in traffic, following this thing (which btw looks absolutely stupid from the back, thing is wider than an 18 wheeler and barely fits in the highway lane, but I digress). Anyways, so I followed this thing for about a mile and all of a sudden it comes to yet another stop, and three of the lugnuts drop out from the passenger rear wheel. Literally, they just "plink plink plink" like jacks.
If the traffic wasn't moving I was going to jump out and grab them. Not sure if the rest of them fell off or they lost a wheel or anything as immediately afterwards they sped off down the breakdown lane and got off the next exit.
My wife and I were cracking up after that one.
Maybe the trim package wasn't such a foolish idea afterall... :shades:
I think at first they didn't make the SEs, so those only started selling recently.
That makes it even more impressive.
Not diggin' the sagging rear. Not as sharp as the outgoing models. Previous model was a tough act to follow, to be fair.
Drove it! A co-worker bought it. Auto base model. Here's my mini-review:

Mag editors wring the heck out of it and then complain that they're "only" getting 35.1mpg or whatever.
Gimme a break. What did they expect? Driving style has everything to do with your mpg results.
Some sort of special edition Boxster.... with Speedster humps and different bumpers/trim... Supposed to look like an old 550... license plate was DEAN 550
And, last.. and least... I finally saw the only good angle for a Panamera... directly from behind about 50 yards back.. Actually looks like a nice GT car from that angle... Any other look is nausea inducing....

Also saw a new S60 in the wild last weekend. Doesn't stand out as much as I thought it would after seeing it at the auto show earlier this year.
'11 GMC Sierra 1500; '98 Alfa 156 2.0TS; '08 Maser QP; '67 Coronet R/T; '13 Fiat 500c; '20 S90 T6; '22 MB Sprinter 2500 4x4 diesel; '97 Suzuki R Wagon; '96 Opel Astra; '11 Mini Cooper S
That's like charging more for a Bud Light than for a regular Bud.
PS- I like the Panamera from every angle but directly behind...go figure. :shades:

Looks like they decided to call it a Spyder, rather than Speedster..
Porsche Boxster Spyder
It does have 10 HP more than the -S- model...
RE: Rear view of the Panamera... From farther back... still not sure I like the rear view from up-close.. I guess the head-on view isn't bad, either.... Any sort of angle, though.... and I get queasy...

So, who's the little drummer boy? :confuse:
2001 BMW 330ci/E46, 2008 BMW 335i conv/E93
A long car without a trunk looks odd, the proportions are bulbous, strange.
No surprises, it's a cheap car so the interior is cheap. I can't stand the center mounted gauges and neither could he and his wife. Every surface is hard, as expected.
In this class I'd pick a Fiesta or Fit by a wide margin over the Yaris.
Perhaps the most improved player for 2011.
Did I just say that out loud? ducks and runs...
Almost makes me want to yell, "Sanctuary!".

2 new Kia Sportages. First was well equipped and looked nice. 2nd was a bare-bones base model in white and it just looked cheap. Plastic bumpers, no roof rack, no rear spoiler, IIRC no window tint. Looks "naked". Funny to see how equipment levels affect the overall look so much.
Cooper Clubman. Let's see when the Countryman models start showing up.
The funny one was a Porsche Panamera. I only got a split second glance of the back in traffic, and at first I thought it was an Infiniti EX35! LOL
Funny because one's a crossover and the other is a sedan, yet both have the bulbous rear and that threw me off.
I realize that's a stretch:

was watching an episode of wheeler dealers (set in Britain), and mike was driving an Accord wagon. man, that was a nice looking, nice sized, well designed looking car.
Too bad they are only going to sell it as a tarted up, AT luxo barge wanna be Acura.

but this was one of the convertible conversions. top down and everything.

Saw a 2011 Grand Cherokee on the road too.

Others spotted, a new Jeep GC, new Kia Sportage, countless new Sonatas, bunch of "swagger wagon" Sienna's, few new Taurus's and a couple of new Infiniti M's.
Also, not so new but I've seen a lot more Infinti EX models lately. Been shopping them myself and they are taking as much as 6500 bucks off the top which makes them quite the bargain... 300hp, AWD, great handling, comfortable seats, very nice interior. :shades:
Pleasant surprise.
