    Any by the way I'm finally starting to see a few of these. They're not popping up like the MDX when it was launched, though, so I bet sales are down.

    We did not go inside but I guess they have none in stock. Perhaps you have to get on a wait list?

    Yep. You sign up and put down your $99 deposit online, wait 6-9-12 months for the email password to configure your car, then wait another 3-4 months to go to dealer and pick it up.

    There should have been some demo cars around, though.

    I saw a black and white one the other day at a busy intersection with a for sale sign on it. I was in a rush so I did not get to see the asking price. I am sure the owner was looking to make a profit though.

    I just drove past the front of the dealer. Saw a big "Smart" sign but no cars. I'm sure they had one in the showroom.

    I've seen about 2 or 3 Infiniti EX35s already. Those things are so small - like a sport utility hatchback.

    I thought about looking at one, but, like you said, they're SMALL, very tight rear seat. NYT article talked about them as a 'reward car' for women. Top it off, they weigh 4000 lbs. Ouch!

    I would at least see men driving the FX (I rarely see men driving RX and X3 etc).

    One of my co workers just picked up a fully loaded EX35. It's a nice lil hatchback SUV if you need the space. He doesn't have kids anyways so back seat is not an issue.

    I like the around view monitor in that car, pretty neat.

    Yes, it looks like you can get a load of interesting options on it. No kids = no problem with the back seat space.

    The EX doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me. Where's the utility?

    The 360 degree camera thing is neat, but that's looking at the glass half full. A half empty point of view might complain that they created massive blind spots in the first place. Then of course they charge you thousand of dollars to address a poor visibility issue that they basically designed-in.

    Ka-ching. Infiniti cashes in on their own mistake. Sucker consumers pay extra for a needless (if visibility were OK) gadget.

    I agree, not much cargo/people room, and especially about the visibility. Nissan/Infiniti has been especially bad on this. I just don't get it. Kinda takes the "U" out of SUV/CUV.

    I guess it appeals to same kind of people that want a small roomy vehicle ala X3, Tiguan, even CR-V or RAV4 but more luxurious.

    People buy weird stuff that doesn't make sense all the time. That's what keep me employed.

    The X6 is starting to grow on me but I think I'd take a X5 any day over it. The X6 reminds me of a useless suv like the Suzuki X-90 thing: you ride high but can't pack much stuff in it.

    Better yet, a 535xi Sport Wagon, for me. The overweight, but not very roomy X6 is a rare total miss by BMW's product planners.

    Yeah, different stroke for different folks.

    I like small cars, too, but the EX is very heavy, and perhaps should only have 2 doors?

    Of course that has failed in the past, so they may have kept the 4 doors to give it a better chance.

    We own one, and yesterday we saw one, identical to ours. Limited model, Newport Blue Pearl.

    It was like looking in a mirror. :D

    Foresters are absolutely flying off the dealer lots, sales up some 50% or so. I took last week off and when I came back I found myself congratulating SEVEN (!) new owners here on Edmunds that had bought one.

    I have a stinking suspicion they will probably still sell a few, as the idle trophy wife demographic loves any kind of tall wagon with a snobby badge.

    But, when I pointed out an EX35 to my wife, she said, "That's not an SUV, that's a wagon... I don't want a wagon."

    Trust me.. when it comes to the wife's vehicular preferences, logic will not prevail... any attempt is futile..

    Two BMW X6s on the way home in one block span. One was burgundy, one was blue. It's growing on me but I'll still take an X5. The X6 reminds me too much of an AZTEK :surprise:

    The one on the right is the new one (I think). A car I care for about as much as the X6, in these parts a Cayenne is one of the ultimate posermobiles.

    Correct, the right one is the newer gen Cayenne. However I didn't go downstairs to see the diff

    Also, the one on the left has hood strakes so it's probably an upgraded engine option.

    Why do people put fake badges on cars, who do they think they're fooling? It offends BMW owners and probably Kia owners, too.

    Boy oh boy I hope it looks way better in real life than in photos, as that's one ugly looking car imo.

    It seems as if Acura lost it's styling touch, going from beauties of the 90s (their ENTIRE model line) to these freakish lookign cars today, especially the bucktooth TSX and TL. :surprise:

    While I haven't seen one on the streets, I saw an ad for Motor Week on TV, and the shot they had of the TL driving towards me made me feel sick...no, I don't think it'll look better in the flesh...

    There's a new 128i sitting here in the parking lot at work with a temp tag. dark grey mettalic, black interior, and a stick shift. I still think its a good looking car. I don't know what all the complaints are about.

    So the oddball today I spotted going the other way on one of the backroads I take to work. It was a scooter with 2 front wheels and 1 rear wheel. Now I know I've seen videos of those with 4 wheels, but I don't believe I've seen one with only 1 rear wheel. Seems very odd to me. I'm not sure what the advantage to that would be.

    A quick search leads me to believe it must have been one of these Vespas.

    Seen a few of these lately, maybe 2 or 3 of them.

    Large coupes never really appealed to me - I guess I'd rather just get a sedan, or something light if I really only need 2 doors. They look OK, though. Not sexy like the G35c.

    Also saw a Smart ForTwo this AM.

    Yes, it looked like production version and had PASSAT badge on the trunk without the CC. It looks awesome in pictures but on road it does not stand out. To be fair enough, it is much better than the TSX, Maxima, Passat and current TL. BTW, it had Dealer Perm registration of AZ so I called a dealer close to where I spotted the vehicle and they said they don't have one. Hoping to test drive one soon.

    I think it was an '08. Whatever - it was new to me. These must be rare birds, and TMV is $1,100 below invoice.

    The 9-7X is just a rebadged TrailBlazer/Envoy.. But, there is no budget model.. Even with the 6-cylinder, the lowest model stickers for about $42K..

    With GM employee pricing, and the $8000 rebate, you can take one home for under $30K...

    If you don't mind 14 mpg city.. :surprise:

    Yeah, I knew it was a rebadge. It's just the only one I've ever seen. I bet they don't sell 5,000 copies a year.

    Did I mention that I spotted a new 08 Grand Caravan? Last week I got a free upgrade from a Caliber to one so I got to drive it a week (I really wanted the Caliber, knowing how highly you thought of the rental Bob had in Santa Monica last year :D ).

    I was enjoying the Caravan until my sister riding shotgun asked if something was wrong with the tires or something or did they all roll that much.

    Finally saw one. They seem pretty small to me.

    Also saw a new Vue and a Corolla.

    Oh, and saw my first Lincoln MKX. The wife liked it. I feel mixed about it.

    I'm not a big fan of the Edge or MKX either. They are kinda huge and expensive for limited use SUVs that don't stand out that much, or that don't have any unique qualities imo.

    Could have been a rocker from some famous band, loaded snowbaorder or skater, actor, or like you said a random guy with a generous father.

    Saw aSLR McLaren today in a MB showroom. What was different was that tghis one was a convertible. I thought they weren't out yet.

    Yeah I have seen a SLR roadster on the road here too. They've trickled in. I wonder where resale values for those will be in 10 years...

    Bentley boy could also have just been some random pro athlete, lots of teams in Philly. Or maybe dad owns a highline dealership.

    My new car sighting today was an 09 Fit in kind of an orange metallic...not the best color.
