Clicking gas pedal

I recently purchased a used 2005 Chrysler Pacifica Touring with 140,000 miles on it. No issues that I can tell so far with this vehicle except for a slight clicking when I press down and release the gas pedal. Any idea what might be causing this? No problem with acceleration or sticking of the gas pedal.

Hard to say without being there to listen, but if you can bend down and hear the clicking coming from beneath the pedal, then it's probably the positioning sensor unit. I think it's something like $75 bucks. In any event, someone needs to look down there--might even be something simpler than that.
