Lease or Buy CX-5 Sport/Touring?

Hi all -

I've never owned/leased a car before and hoping for some help to determine which is a better value -- leasing (and buying at end of lease) or buying now a 2016 Mazda CX-5.

I'm looking at the Sport and Touring models, with MSRPs of $24,495 and $26,115 respectively.

I am in Portland, OR (no sales tax). It looks like they are offering financing offers of 1.9% up to 60 mos. + $500 cash offer. I could put up to $7,000 down to buy.

Needing some help to figure out how much monthly payments would be for buy v. lease for the two models. I'd likely want to buy at the end of the lease.

Thank you in advance for any help here.

If your intention is to own the car, long term, then you are almost always better off buying it from the start, regardless of the actual monthly payment. Leasing involves extra fees that you wouldn't have with a straight purchase.
