Kia should consider that just about every other automaker has been hammering away at the 3 series for the past decade without much luck. 99% of all BMW buyers are not going to cross-shop Kia--so launching a 3 series competitor might take market share from somewhere else, but not BMW.

^^^^^^Edmunds says: Kia continues its upscale march, especially with the likely addition of a new model designed to take on some major German competitors.^^^^^

Only if half the price

Kia, please don't have an identity crisis like some other companies have. Both Kia and Hyundai think they are both an economy brand, a sports brand, and a luxury brand. Stop.

I think the new Genesis brand will be welcomed, so Kia leave the sports luxury to them.

Studies have shown that people are becoming more "conscious" and not so concerned with a brand name, so I wouldn't doubt a few people would be interested, even if it doesn't say BMW.

Can't wait ta see the new RWD Kia GT 4-dr. sports sedan but am thinking it would rocket up outta the (my) normal Kia price range too much.
