Flashing check engine light Dodge Dakota v-6

flashing check engine light after jump start with power pack, light flashes for a couple of minutes then stays on, had mechanic check out -- sensors, cat, instrument panel, fuses, wiring are all ok, truck runs normally, no codes are picked up at all, mechanic thinks it could be ECM
