Vacuum hose behind power steering reservoir

The small vacuum-type hose immediately behind the power steering reservoir broke on me while I was changing the reservoir today. Does anyone know the official name and part number so I can install one that is better than my spliced together job? 2006 Dodge Grand Caravan SXT 3.8 liter

    We have rubber vacuum line that fits the that plastic line and it is acceptable to splice it as a repair when the line breaks. Otherwise if you chose to, simply replace the plastic line with regular vacuum hose. That plastic line does not have to be replaced with another plastic line.

    Did you ever find the replacement part? The same thing happened to me so not sure what the actual part number is. I currently have the part temporarily fixed. I believe it is some type of vacuum hose just not sure which one.

    If you leak tested it and it's a sturdy repair I'd just let it be.

    Its not very sturdy. its clean break so both parts fit nice together right now its taped pretty good but that is not the best seal. I can try to use some type of heat shrink to seal it. do you think that will work? or replace the tube entirely only issue cant figure out which type of vacuum tube this is.

    Can you fit a little sleeve over it and glue it? There's not much required to seal a vacuum leak but tape is kind of Mickey Mouse, as you say.

    The only other thing you can do is just remove the entire line and replace it with a similar generic piece of hose, presuming that it is not molded into some kind of right-angle turn, where the universal hose won't bend enough.

    no turns - it looks like it has rubber 1/4 diameter end on either side and reduces down to an 1/8 plastic tube in the center. I know i can get a 1/4" tubing and connect the end points just not sure why its reduced and if increasing that size will cause an issue or not.
