At 90k miles, leaking rack and pinion.
Our 2011 Chevy Impala also has a leaking P.S. rack at only 47K miles, not covered under warranty repair. What's GM putting out defective rack and pinion and not recalling them???

Oh, so you have two GM cars with leaking p/s racks? The one at 90K wouldn't be that unusual for the mileage, but the 47K problem seems premature, yes. However, age and maintenance also play a part in long seal life.

You can buy a reman power steering rack for about $200. Labor would run about $400. You should also have an alignment done after this repair.

Be sure this isn't a known problem on this car--the high pressure power steering hose. Maybe the rack is ok.
