Modded FR-S Lease Return & Purchase
Leased an FR-S in 2013 for 36 months (California). Loved it so much I want to purchase it at the end of the term (very very soon), I called Toyota Financial Services to get the residual, they notified the dealer who contacted me with a quote of $16.6. The car has 27k miles. All good so far!
Question is, over time, I have modified the car with bolt-on parts (full exhaust, header, intake, coilover suspension), but kept the stock parts just in case. Wanted to know when I return to the dealer to sign the new finance contract for the residual amount with TFS, will I need to bring in the vehicle for inspection and if so, should I remove the bolt-on mods prior to that inspection. I read somewhere that the dealer will inspect the vehicle to make sure it is "safe to sell" (really just to collect a fee), but I don't want the mods to cause an issue. A smooth experience is what I'm after with minimal effort.
Thanks in advance for any advice.

If no inspection is necessary, then you should be good to go.
