Buying A Truck With A Scratched Up Bed

I am getting rid of my 2005 Ram, as the rust is just starting to get bad. I am currently looking at a 2013 2500 at a local dealership. It is in great shape, other than the bed. The paint in the bed is scratched up pretty bad (I didn't notice any big dents or gouges in the bed, just deep scratches in the paint). What do I ask the dealer to do before buying this vehicle? I do not want this bed to rust out on me a few years down the road. I assume that just getting a spray in bed liner won't be enough, as the paint is already scratched pretty badly. Any thoughts? I really don't know much about this subject, so any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Presuming there's not any rust at the moment, and no trapped moisture, I don't see why a sprayed in bedliner wouldn't take care of it. After all, it acts very much like a sealer/primer. If you see any surface rust on there now, you can treat that with a rust remover and sealer prior to spraying on the liner.
