Broken Rear Hatch Handle

Cannot open the rear hatch (broken handle) on my wife's 2009 Cube. Ditto from inside. I looked for an online repair manual but no luck. Does anyone have repair experience or a manual to replace broken handle so I can open the door again?

    Only in general terms, never having worked on a Cube. Sometimes you can find an access hole from the inside of the vehicle so that you can trip the cable or rod that unlocks the hatch. In some cases you can remove the back of the hatch cover and get at the lock mechanism.
