the car turns over but, won't start
My1984 528E has 438k original miles. the engine is strong with good compression in each value. I tried to start it today. it turns over but won't start. I am thinking fuel pump or gas tank fuel pump . any ideas guys

You can also buy a simple spark tester for cheap at Autozone or similar store.
You can also (carefully) press down on the schrader valve that is inserted in the fuel rail to see if there is pressure in the fuel line. Be careful as you are releasing a fuel spray, so use a rag and don't let anything touch a hot engine part.
