Excessive Oil Consumption

I own a 2010 Chevy Equinox and I must say I will never purchase another Chevy again nor do I want the one I currently have. This vehicle has been nothingn but a headache since purchase. Currently he vehicle is consuming an excessive amount of oil and typically is 1-2 quarts low regularly. There has been numerous incidents in which I have went to get an oil change in the allotted time and there was absolutely no oil in the vehicle. The vehicle has stalled out with my son in the back due to a lack of oil. I keep up with my oil changes and always run out of oil prior to the due date. I have been instructed to get my oil checked every 1000 miles due to the extended warranty recently added as many owners of this vehicle have been having he same issues. The dealership had confirmed it is typically a quart low, which they claim is normal. How is it normal for your vehicle to have no oil before it is due for a routine change? How do I sue if something is to happen to my child and I when it stalls out? How many times do I have to get the oil consumption checked before Chevy sees I have an issue? The vehicle won't even say the oil is low but no oil will be in the vehicle. It is very scary driving this car especially with my child. Has anyone received assistance from GM? I have a current case open, have spoke to a senior advisor who informed me he will contact the dealership for further assistance. This company is asking for a lawsuit as this vehicle is not safe and I pray for you all on the road. How can a company be ok knowing hundreds of people are having the same issue? We are not making this up. I have had no oil in my car numerous times. An oil consumption test shouldn't even be needed after your vehicle has absolutely no oil after numerous times before it is due for a change. I have Chevy and I hate this vehicle. DO NOT PURCHASE

Never assume you can go till the next change without checking your oil. Many cars require oil between changes. 1000 miles per quart is a typical value, below which is called 'excessive. How many miles between quarts for you? I'd be checking it every fillup until I knew.
