My first time negotiating a lease. Does this sound good?

My VW dealer is quoting me a 2016 Tiguan R price of $22856 lease payments of $315/for 36 months or $295 for 48 months. IDK if that is out the door with zero out of pocket or not. Does it make sense to lease a car for 48 months? There's so much double-speak my head is spinning. :open_mouth:
Help.

I would not lease for 48 months.

Make sure you know the MSRP and selling price, along with the adjusted CAP cost and money factor.
Find a dealer that is willing to lay out the whole deal, and explain the numbers. If you don't know if it's out the door, or zero out of pocket, then you really don't know the deal.

If your head is spinning, that is not the time to make a deal.

It's zero out of pocket and he wanted me to know that the residual value after 36 months is 52%. I'm doing a 24 hour test drive tomorrow so depending how that goes, I'm thinking I'm getting a pretty good deal.
