abs problems chevy colorado

I had the same problems as many other colorado owners with abs activating for no reason and tripping code faults. My truck is a 2007 2x4 automatic transmission.I had the same work done on my truck as everybody else.New front hub/ bearing assembly, new abs speed sensors.rotors ,new pads and hardware both sides. I had a complete brake job done less than five months ago,so brake pads were under warranty.Still the bill was almost $1300.00.The same problem happened within two days after repairs.I called my mechanic who I've known and trusted for nearly 15 years and he asked me to bring the truck back asap and in the mean time he would research the problem further. The next morning he called and said he had discovered something that was not addressed in any GM/Chevy service notices.Colorados have a third speed sensor located near the rear of the transmission. This set off a red flag for him as he had only addressed the obvious front brake issues. When he got it back in the shop he first inspected work done on front brakes and every thing checked out as expected. He then removed both rear wheels ,cleaned, burnished, and lubed, all of the brake parts and surfaces both sides for no charge.I have driven the truck every day for nearly four months now with zero problems.I have not seen anybody posting anything about this which is something I think is vital to addressing and solving this issue.Good luck.

So did he replace that 3rd speed sensor, or maybe that isn't ABS related?
