I love the commercials with the dogs but has anyone had bad experience with dog hair sticking to the cloth interior? Should I get leather to avoid this problem?
Well both cloth and leather have their issues when it comes to dogs. You have the sticking hair problem with cloth, and a more difficult clean up should the dog do something very dog typical; and you have the problem of dog's claws scratching up the leather.
The only realistic solution in my opinion is, if possible, isolate the animal to the back cargo area (in an SUV type vehicle) and use a protective covering from a company such as Weathertech, (http://www.weathertech.com/) which specializing in doggie protection products. If the dog sits in the back seat, you'll have to cover it with something.
For cloth seats you can also apply a Scotchguard product to help with cleanup.
