Hey Everyone,

I'm looking forward to buy a 2010 Honda Fit sport model that has 115K mileage. I looked up the vehicle history and the car seems to be clean with no records of accident.

I will get the car inspected by a mechanic and will do a test drive. but before that I would like to know if the car is worth it for 9000$.

This is my first car in USA, I would like to hear from you guys before I check the car out.

Thanks

Hi @vimalkumar, welcome to the States.

You can appraise used cars at this link.

I guessed at a color and a zip code, and selected "clean" for the condition (used cars are rarely in outstanding condition imo).

I come up with a number closer to $8,000 dealer retail (and yeah, if it really is in outstanding condition, the number is closer to $9,000).

You may want to play with the appraisal tool and dial in your zip code and the color (I also guessed that this one is an automatic btw). Checking numbers from clean to outstanding may give you a range to shoot for.

Good idea on the pre-purchase inspection.

Good luck! And please report back how the shopping goes.

The asking price is within fair market range but it should be very nice for that price. Basically they are hanging the "blue book" retail price on it. So I'd say there's room to negotiate.
