I have a 94 Lesabre and it started dieing while Idling, ie: at light.
The oil was just changed, so I'm wondering if it's possibly a Fuel Filter?
I'm still learning the In's & Out's to GM, I usually work on FORD.
Any thoughts or ideas would be appreciated, thank you!

There's no easy or one thing to point to with stalling problems. They can be among the trickiest to solve, even with scan tools, because the data stream is often delayed or interrupted during a stall. Generally the only sure way to nail down a persistent and elusive stalling issue is with an oscilloscope.

But presuming you don't have such a tool handy, there are some general things you can check, and if the problem is obvious, you might just find it using THIS TUTORIAL ON STALLING.

    Good luck with it.

A common problem on 3800's is the crankshaft position sensor. If the car dies like the switch was turned off--the tach drops to zero even though the engine is still rotating--check the CPS. Another factor to think about is if it restarts immediately or if it needs to cool for 10-30 minutes and then starts back up like nothing happened... check the other potential causes but keep CPS in mind. It gives no error code. You can try carrying a bottle of cool water with you and splashing it on the CPS (behind the edge of the lower crankshaft harmonic balancer to cool it quicker. The CPS uses magnetism to sense the internal fins on the harmonic balancer and the heat reduces the already weak with age magnetic field.

While the 3800 won't start, turn key to ON and see if you hear the fuel pump at least turning for 2 seconds to prime the pressure. You didn't give any info about the circumstances as to when and to how the stall occurs, so I'll give you the shadetree mleSabres echanic lines of checking. A few had fuel pumps that quit when the pump heats up after running for a time. You can try hitting on the bottom of the fuel tank to vibrate the fuel pump if it doesn't turn and help it restart. Replacement requires dropping the tank on leSabres until 2000-2005 models where there is a removable cover in the trunk above the tank.

EGR valves also caused rough idle and eventual stall for some. Sometimes sticking slightly open.
