Diagnosing overheating can be very tricky. There are a lot of inter-related components.

    Answer some questions:

Fast overheat or slow overheat (how long does it take from a cold engine)

Overheats at idle only and ok on highway, or ok at idle, overheats only on highway, or both.

Is coolant currently leaking out somewhere.

Can you hear/see the cooling fans kicking in at some point?

I am a dubious owner of a Buick Rendezvous 2002 CXL that consistently overheats after flushing etc.. my question is, " is it possible to swap out the 3.4 motor and replace it with a 3.8 motor, which is a tried and proven motor? Adding a rear facing hood scoop".
