Front end shakes

My truck will shimmy when it shifts into over drive. I have had the bakes checked, the front end checked and all new tires balanced and put on. It recently lost the exhaust and this is when the shimmy started. Please help, I am out of ideas on what to look for.

    Do you feel this in the steering wheel or in the seat of your pants?

    it is more in the dash

    I wonder if you have a torque converter problem. A transmission specialist might be able to tell you something from a quick test ride.
