warning lights and transmission issues

In the last week or so I have had an issue with this car when I am stuck in slow moving traffic the warning lights start to go crazy flashing and the transmission will not shift correctly. does anyone know what might be the problem

    First place I'd look is your battery, battery connections, grounds, and charging system. Whenever there is a low voltage situation, for whatever reason, your car's computer modules tend to go crazy.
