Total power failure '98 Avalon

Dashboard lights, alarm started flickering on/off while driving. Engine stuttered for a few seconds but then ran smooth until I got home.

This morning found battery totally discharged. Recharged but no power reaching starter, instrument panel, nor headlights, basically none of the electrical components function. Faint burn smell inside car.

Car had both front window actuators as well as burned out instrument panel bulbs replaced by shop a week ago.

Any ideas of what could have caused this total power failure?
