2 to 4" play in my steering wheel

I have changed steering gear box 2 times, track bar, and sway bar. Still have 2 to 4" play

    Tie rods checked? Been on the alignment rack?

    Have someone else turn the wheel back and forth inside the limit of the free play while you check each portion of the linkage for movement.
