2001 3,9 4wd Dakota

I have a 2001 3,9 4wd Dakota. I replaced my front driveshaft as it has a cv joint and is unreparable.Now it wont go into 4wd,also no lights on my dashswitch that controls the 4wd.it worked b4 that's how I new I had a bad shaft,any sugestions would be appreciated.

    also since then have replaced 4wd switch in dash,and checked for ower in and out of switch,is good.still no lights or engagement.

    You might check the plug for the encoder motor on the bottom of the transfer case. Sometimes the wires corrode.

    There's also a transfer case control module under the dash, right under the vent on the right side of your steering wheel---it's in a blue case. Maybe that circuit blew a fuse?
