GMC Yukon - engine dies

I have a 01 GMC Yukon Xl it starts up and kills after a couple of seconds change fuel filter any one knw what else can I do

    There could be a lot of reasons for stalling....a long list. One place to start is to plug a code reader in there and see if that gives you any hints. You can also look around for vacuum leaks (cracked or loose hoses, etc). But without codes, you're working in the dark. Might just be a sensor.

    I hook it to a code reader but it's not reading the computer

    Starts up, then dies and no communication to the code reader.... Is the security light on or flashing?

    Security light is off when I turn the key on

    Got it fixed it was the fuel pump thanks for Y'all help
